Intelligent control and monitoring research and technology group’s activity is initiated based on the technological and entrepreneurial activities of students and faculty members in the Persian Gulf University in the laboratory of intelligent digital control systems and with the main focuses on
intelligent control and navigation
high-speed and data-oriented digital systems
Fault-tolerant systems.
This laboratory, which was established in the Faculty of Engineering in 2015 and has been developing since then, is equipped with several appropriate laboratory board sets, prototyping and electronic circuit design equipment, and has the capacity to host 15students at the same time.

Currently, there are numerous small and big industrial and student projects in the field of FPGA-based systems, especially SPARTAN6, SPARTAN3 and Zynq series, as well as Cortex ARM, STM, LPC processors, along with ZedBoard, RaspberryPi, OrangePi development boards and Arduino boards, along with the works based on Internet of Things (IoT) and digital processing system design, Intelligent control and navigation, condition monitoring of rotating equipment and intelligent monitoring, reliability engineering and fault tolerant systems design and consulting.

In the field of entrepreneurship, 2 start-up companies (Adan Electric and Aryaman) and 9 products have been produced from the results of the students’ performance in this laboratory – two of which have resulted in patents and one with continuous production and sale besides several academic research projects.
