Program and Scholarship: 3-year research-based PhD program. The scholarship will cover tuition fees, dining, and accommodation. EXTRA allowance might be awarded for applicants with the courage, competency, and opportunity to be involved in joint university-industry projects of the research group. Currently, we have a related project with a local industry.

Qualifications: MSc holders in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, and other disciplines relevant to data science studies.

The proposed research aims to develop a data-driven fault diagnosis framework for rotating machinery using advanced artificial intelligence (AI) techniques. Rotating machinery are critical in many industries, and their failure can lead to costly downtime and safety risks. Traditional fault diagnosis methods often rely on expert knowledge and manual feature extraction, which can be time-consuming and less effective. This project will investigate the benefits of AI algorithms to automatically detect, classify, and predict faults from sensor data in real-time. By integrating AI with condition monitoring data, the research will enhance the accuracy and efficiency of fault diagnosis, contributing to improved maintenance strategies and operational reliability.
