A state-of-the-art water quality monitoring system has been developed at the Water Research Institute of Persian Gulf University, Bushehr

A faculty member of the Geophysics Department at Persian Gulf University stated that the project for designing and implementing a novel water quality monitoring system behind the dam (CTD) at the university’s Water Research Institute has been designed and carried out by a team of five members

This advanced system, designed and implemented through the efforts of university specialists, is capable of real-time monitoring of vital water quality parameters such as temperature, conductivity, pressure, and turbidity.

He added: One of the outstanding features of this system is the possibility to add other parameters, including salinity, dissolved oxygen, and pH, in order to obtain more comprehensive information.

Mansouri recalled: In the design and implementation of this system,Dr. Amin Torabi Jahromi, Seyed Abbas Mousavi Khamami, Mehdi Heidari, and Dr. Elham Yousefi made valuable contributions. This capable team carried out the project at the laboratory of the Intelligent Control and Monitoring Research Group.

Zare’i, Director of Technology Development, Commercialization, and Community Relations at Persian Gulf University, stated: Considering the increasing importance of developing applied research, expanding comprehensive cooperation between the university and industry is essential.

According to a report by the Public Relations Office of Persian Gulf University, and in line with expanding effective collaborations between industry and academia and aiming to improve the management of water resources in the province, a delegation of managers from the Bushehr Regional Water Company visited the advanced water quality monitoring system at Persian Gulf University.
