Appreciation of the Head of the Research and Technology Group for Intelligent Control and Monitoring as an Educational Excellence Leader at the University

According to the Public Relations Office of the Persian Gulf University, Dr. Modarresi, President of the Persian Gulf University, announced in this meeting that the full research budget for the year 1404 (2025) has been secured. He also reported a 150% increase in grants for graduate students.

Accordingly, the base grant for master’s students will be 5 million tomans, and for doctoral students, more than 30 million tomans.

Emphasizing the university’s commitment to resolving challenges, the president mentioned upcoming improvements in student meal plans and expansion of the student dining area during the summer. He added that discussions are underway with parliament representatives to allocate part of their available funds to enhance the university’s welfare, educational, and laboratory facilities.

Dr. Afshari, Vice President for Education at Persian Gulf University, honored the memory of martyred teachers and student Elham Baharloo, and expressed condolences to the students of Hormozgan Province over the recent incident.

Providing a report on the university’s current status, he stated that Persian Gulf University has 250 faculty members (205 men and 45 women) and 6,455 active students across 100 academic programs, 320 of whom are international students.

Dr. Afshari added that the university offers 12 PhD programs, 56 master’s programs, and 31 undergraduate programs.

At the end of the ceremony, 8 outstanding professors, 120 top undergraduate students, 39 top master’s students, 12 distinguished PhD students, and 3 retired professors of Persian Gulf University were honored.

Additionally, Mr. Hossein Yadollahi, a student from the laboratory, was also recognized as one of the top students.

The “Educational Excellence Week” celebration at Persian Gulf University was held on Sunday, Ordibehesht 14, 1404 (May 4, 2025), honoring outstanding faculty and students.
